my tie box
Here are some of the fly patterns that I have tied so far:
- Alexander Special
- T.U.
- Doc Spratley
- ‘52 Buick
- Elk hair Caddis
- Midge Pupa (along with a number of variations)
- Royal Coachman
- Beadhead Prince
- Backswimmer
- Blue-winged Olive
- Wooly Bugger
- Carey Special
- Zug Bug
- Black Zonker Leech
- an attempt at a mayfly
- Green Half-Back
- Knouff Lake and Knouff Lake Special
- SHWAPF (swept hackle, wingless, all purpose fly)
Some flies I plan on doing up for Sulphur Lake:
- Zug Bug
- Schmidts Caddis Larva (Olive)

Knouff Lake
mustad 9671 sizes 12-8 – tie in golden pheasant tail, silver tinsel rib, olive chenille body, pheasant rump. Very similar to a Carey…biggest difference is the golden pheasant tail… which might work nicely as an attractor. Will see how it fares at Sulphur!
