Hi!
A Good Variation and there are many more Pheasant Tail Nymph Variations. As a fly it is a simple Beginner Tyers fly pattern, but do not forget the tail as without the tail, it just does not look the part. A Nymph is just a Dun without wings.

I will be angling in your part of the world with my Canadian Fishing Buddy in late June taking a couple of days of for the !00 Anniversary of the Calgary Stampede then, over to BC for a couple of weeks angling making our way up to the US Border then back to the UK.

Tight Lines and All the Best.

Thanks for the article. I found some #5 3/8" OD x 1/4" ID x 1/16" O-rings at Home Despot 10/$2.50 USD on my way to Lees Ferry. They worked great. I used fluorescent egg yarn. You need to waste a lot of expensive floatant with this yarn so I will seek out some poly yarn. You don't need two sizes of O-ring and this small size makes for a tight fit around the line so it doesn't slip. There is a commercial product made this same way:

BTW the "poly" that floats is polypropylene, not polyester. Very important since polypropylene is the only yarn whose density is less than that of water.

Well, today they finally provided a tracking number, and it turns out that shipped the missing part up via regular UPS parcel service, not the expedited service that Dave Scadden told us he would use. Now one of the guys is without a complete pontoon boat for the trip that we head out on in a couple days.

Based on the overall quality of after sales service, I would strongly recommend steering clear of North Fork Outdoors. The premium prices for Dave Scadden's pontoon boats does not ensure a better quality product, or better service.

The saga continues - this week we finally got our frames back - well, almost.

First, they didn't keep track of the pieces, so we actually ended up getting brand new frame components. However, they were missing the main right frame of one of the pontoon boats!

So, we leave on our big trip of the year next Thursday - hopefully Mr. Scadden can get the missing piece up here by then! We'll soon find out how fast UPS Expedited can be...
