Here we are coming into the fall season, and I haven’t been fishing once – life has just gotten too busy it seems. With the lack of fishing, comes the lack of posts – and I gasped when I realized that its been over a year since I last put a post on this site.

I did make it to the grand opening of Cabela’s here in Edmonton, and it was quite an impressive store – the shoulder to shoulder crowd sucked big time though. I wasn’t impressed with their fly-tying section – the Wholesale Sports in South Edmonton Common has them beat hands down (although I haven’t been there in a long time).

This year I did manage to get out and do a bit of exploring down in the Ram River Falls area, around the FTR. It was still hardwater season though – but definitely have to get down there when the water is flowing and I can get a line wet!
