Rain or Shine!
– UPDATE –
Well, it wasn’t a fast action day by any stretch, but I did manage to land a really nice rainbow…put up a real good fight, and was around 18+ inches, and between 2 and 3 pounds.
Unfortunately, this was the only catch of the day between the two of us…
I did have one hook up, and Shan had one on as well, and the ‘bow was pretty close to the same size as the one I later landed. It also put up a great fight, but with all the head shakes, it managed to get off the hook just as I was bring the fish up to the boat. And stupid me forgot my camera in the tube, inside the truck, back on shore….
The weather was overcast most of the afternoon… (we got onto the lake a little past noon), with some really light rain. The wind picked up and cooled things off a little, but then, just as we were planning on going back to shore to get into our float tubes, it started clearing.
Once we got the boat back on the trailer, and kicking out in the tubes, the weather was totally sunny, and made for an awesome evening. It was really too bad that the fish weren’t cooperating.

Well, finally!
Tomorrow, rain or shine, its off to Star Lake to do some fishing for the day. Going with a freind, and we’re bringing his boat, and our tubes… if it rains, it’s much nicer in the tube!
Will report back how things were…and hopefully have a few pictures!
