Was watching/listening to the Pink Floyd DVD “Live at Pompeii” (fantastic viewing/listening I might add), and while watching it I thought I heard the director making a reference to Roger Waters being into flyfishing.
Well, a little googling found a couple interviews and stuff, including some references to flyfishing.
Cool stuff I thought…one of my favorite artists from my favorite band, into one of my favorite pastimes
.
Additionally, there’s the news that Sir Bob Geldof has managed to get Roger Waters reunited with Pink Floyd (Pink Floyd was never the same since he left mind you) for Live8. The concert is in just a few days, July 2nd.

Eric Clapton Fishes for Longer Life
Rocker ERIC CLAPTON credits his relaxing fishing hobby with preserving his laid-back manner.
The 60-year-old spends all his spare time by the river-side with rod-in-hand – and he is convinced it is keeping him young and extending his life.
He says, “I love fly fishing. It is so different from what I do for a living that it’s almost like meditation for me. I think that because I’m a country boy I need to get back in touch with the power of nature.
“The Chinese say that every day spent fishing is another added on to your life, which is nice to know.”

Well, last night we finally got around to getting our house listed. Should be interesting to see how it all goes. I look forward to moving into a larger place…hopefully the kids will have their space, and the wife and I will have ours too
We listed the house with ReMax… discovered that an old freind/room-mate, Allan Barbe, has been working for them for a number of years, so I gave him a call, and he put the signs up last night

Well, I got back last night, and we had an awesome fishing trip. Caught lots of fish, and had fantastic weather (NEVER trust what any of the weather sites say…they were TOTALLY wrong).

Here’s a shot of a brookie that Shan landed…the color was incredible…and yes, it’s back in the lake to see another day.
Some incredible times….including numerous triple headers, where all three of us had hits at the same time (didn’t always land all 3…thanks Ralph!). A total riot!
Here are more pictures from the trip…

Only a couple hours left of the workday, and its off for 5 days up north to Sulphur Lake (NW of Peace River)…will be sure to have a pile of pictures, and maybe even some video of the first big fishing trip of the year.
Should be a fantastic time, regardless of what the weather is…last time up there, the 3 of us were landing approx 50 fish/day. See ya next Thursday!!
